Senior Product Marketing Manager -

Reporting to the Director of Product Marketing, the Senior Product Marketing Manager is a key owner of our 'Go to Market' strategy for our software and services solutions.  This referenced software marketing expert will drive marketing execution for a specific set of assigned nonprofit customer segments.  This individual will effectively engage Product Management, the Sales Organization and liaise across organizational levels to ensure our "Go to Market" success! 

ENSURE "GO-TO-MARKET" OPTIMIZATION WITHIN ASSIGNED NONPROFIT VERTICALS

You will quickly be expected to acquire a thorough understanding of specific nonprofit customers, their business and operational challenges.  Accountability for defining and executing successful 'Go to Market' strategies includes all aspects of defining and engaging the target market based on a deep understanding of the different market segmentations and their needs, how our solutions meet those needs, as well as addressing the competitive landscape.  Use this depth of product, marketplace and customer knowledge to best define and execute on all aspects of the 'Go to Market' approach, such as defining market segments, understanding the competitive situation, targeting, positioning, pricing, packaging and differentiation for assigned software and services solutions sets.  The position will have responsibility both for successfully launching new solutions, as well as refining and retooling our on-going marketing strategies and execution for existing solutions.

EQUIP INTERNAL STAKEHOLDERS WHILE INFLUENCING EXTERNAL NONPROFIT CRITICAL DECISION MAKERS AND THOUGHT LEADERS

A key deliverable will be to ensure that the sales organization assigned to your nonprofit vertical(s) are effectively equipped and collaboratively educated on our decided "Go to Market" strategy to enable full realization and optimization of revenue outcomes. 

Collegially guide and partner with the internal sales force to ensure the integrity of the decided definition and specificity for product messaging, positioning, and the decided value proposition are uniquely approached in each sales opportunity.  Equipping internal stakeholders will include, but is not limited to, crafting value/differentiation presentations, writing demonstrations, scripts, case studies, web content, white papers, ROI modeling, designing and delivering sales lead generation initiatives across multiple vehicles (tradeshows, seminars, webinars, calling campaigns, etc.).   

Additionally, you will be expected to deeply engage in your external assigned nonprofit marketplace.  Develop a keen understanding of the segment competition, customer needs, industry influencers and decision makers while possessing the ability to effectively communicate and publicly present at relevant industry events. 

 

CRISP EXECUTION OF PROJECTS, ANALYSIS, COLLATERALS, and ROI MEASUREMENT TOOLS ACROSS THE MARKETING ORGANIZATION

The role will also be responsible for managing and ensuring that marketing plans are cross-collaboratively defined and executed, including activities such as tradeshows, seminars/webinars, and other lead generation activities across the marketing organization.  Additional responsibilities in this area include:  optimizing benefits statements, proof points, and conducting and delivering differentiation analysis. Collaborate with Marketing Communications to develop critical sales and marketing tools including:  advertising & public relations; product/ segment specific branding.  Responsible for continuously measuring, managing and appropriately adjusting marketing program effectiveness (i.e. Lead Generation Performance; Lead Conversion Ratios)

 

Experience and Skills:

 

Requirements

  • 6 years of Product Marketing professional experience in a progressive, strategic and complex enterprise software environment
  • 5 years experience launching software products / solutions
  • Bachelors Degree required, Masters strongly preferred
  • Strong problem solving, analytical and mental acuity
  • Exceptional ability to write and create product content
  • Proven influencing skills (w/executives, cross-functionally and with people)
  • Proven marketplace relationship building skills (influencers, pivotal customers etc.)
